Autumn Favourites.

Hello again!

I’m back with a little roundup of all my Autumn favourites for you guys. I hope you enjoy!

Dublin Herbalists

These guys are the talk of the town right now, and for good reason, and they very kindly sent me some of their products to try. I’m fussy about my skincare as I have dry and sensitive skin so I’m always a little apprehensive to try new things. First off these products are all natural, vegan and cruelty free which is a big plus. Secondly they smell divine! I mean actually divine. I’ll be honest, I’ve actually fallen in love with the whole range but my favourites have to be revitalising face mask, the baby sleep oil and the hydrating face serum.

Let’s start with the baby sleep oil. Isla is going through a dreadful sleep regression and we are getting minimal sleep at the moment so I decided what could I lose by trying this lavender scented oil. I’ve been rubbing it on her back and belly just before bed and its definitely helping her nod off quicker. That said she still wakes 64,876 times looking for boob but I have noticed a marked improvement in how long it takes to get her down and in how much more settled she is during sleep.

The hydrating face serum is the most heavenly scented oil. I  would describe it as an oil rather than a serum but I actually prefer that. My skin was glowing after using this, along with the revitalising face mask, and has been in much better condition since I started using them. It’s not often you find a natural product range that’s actually effective so these are definitely winners for me.  Available in a range of stockists including

Sophie le Giraffe Hair and Body Wash

Another product that I was sent to try this month was the SLG Hair and Body Wash for babies. If you think I’m fussy about my skincare, I am 100 times fussier about what goes onto the kids skin. This a quote directly from their website;

“Sophie la girafe Baby range DOES NOT CONTAIN any of the following:

GMO (Genetically modified organisms), nano-particles, synthetic perfumes or dyes, phthalates, parabens, chlorine, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), MIT, triclosan, propylene glycol, benzobarbital, phenoxyethenol.

We do not use any animal components, including so called cruelty-free, such as lanolin, beeswax etc. either.
The whole Sophie la girafe Baby -range is 100% vegan.”

I have been adding this wash under the running water to create some bubbles for the kids and it’s really lovely. No heavy scent that is common with your run of the mill baby products. No harsh chemicals, suitable from birth and a really lovely gift idea. They sent me this wash in a gift box with a natural bristle baby hair brush which I have been using nightly on Isla to try and stimulate her hair to grow. All in all I really like this product and will definitely be repurchasing when I run out.

Canon 100D

So I bought this during the year but I have been using it a lot in the last few months. For anyone who is thinking of taking the plunge into a DLSR camera, all I can say is you won’t regret it. I am in love with this model as its slightly more compact compared to its competitors. Over the past few months I have been learning all about light and compositions and the inner workings of the camera as well as a bit of editing. I purchased mine on Amazon and it was a hell of a lot cheaper than walking into my local store. You will be amazed at how much better the quality is with a DLSR and it allows you to really learn proper photography skills. This has become my new obsession and I rarely leave the house without it. A must have for all parents!

Bonnets, Bonnets and more Bonnets

Ok, so if you follow me on Instagram you will know that I have a slight bonnet obsession. I particularly love handmade ones from small businesses because they are made with such love and care and you can get them made to size.

I am currently loving Briar handmade, guadalupe creations and Fawn and fable co. I have also picked up a few in H&M and Zara over the last few months too. I would also like to mention Kira at Waterhill crafts who made me the sweetest little bonnets for a gift. If you haven’t checked out Kira’s page go do it now, she is one seriously talented lady when it comes to crocheting!

So that’s it for my current faves. If you have any questions leave them down below and I will do my best to get back to all of them ASAP.

If you’re not already following along on instagram you can do so right here!
